Christo und Jeanne-Claude

WRAPPED - TIED - STACKED Christo (1935-2020) and Jeanne-Claude (1935-2009) were almost certainly one of the 20th century's most remarkable artist-couples. They realized impressive temporary projects at prominent public places and in doing so they expanded our unterstanding of what art can be. With around 130 original works dating from six decades, the Würth Collection now owns one of the largest collections of Christo works in the world, thanks in part to a very personal relationsship between the collector Reinhold Würth and the artist-couple. To mark the 90th birthday of Christo and Jeanne-Claude - they were both born in 13 June 1935 - Museum Würth is presenting a cross-section of their 60 years of creative activity, whith is documented in this publication.
